Re: Asbestos Notification
As required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), a 3-Year Reinspection was recently conducted for Cloudcroft Municipal Schools by King Consultants, Inc. The report identified “suspected” asbestos materials in limited areas of the district’s buildings. These materials are possibly in old floor tiles, mastic, plaster, linoleum, etc.
The suspected asbestos-containing materials are in good condition and are being monitored constantly to assure they remain in good condition. Asbestos-containing building materials maintained in good condition rarely present a hazard.
The inspection report, results of subsequent monitoring, and the management plan for these materials are kept in the Superintendent’s office at #10 Swallow Place in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. This information is available for your review.
