What is required to be become a school bus driver?

In order to be a school bus driver you have to complete:

First aid CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation)

Class B CDL driver’s license with a passenger endorsement

Department Of Transportation (DOT) physical

A criminal back ground check (this includes finger printing)

A pre-employment drug test as well as continued random drug testing.

Driver safety class

Complete 16 hours of in service training every year.

Child Safety is first and foremost.
