On January 7, 2025, PowerSchool, our student information system (SIS) used by Cloudcroft Municipal Schools and many other districts across the state, reported a security breach. Although there has been speculation about the scope of this incident, PowerSchool has not released an official statement regarding the extent of the breach or which schools may be affected.
The breach may involve current and former students and staff members. Our district’s IT team is working closely with state-sponsored departments to determine the full impact of this event. As soon as more information becomes available, Cloudcroft Municipal Schools will share updates with our community.
